maxi skirt & denim shirt

I love maxi skirts..It is definitely a must have item for summers..This season, there are also different models of maxi skirts for the winter as well.  It is not a very good choice to wear it during cold, snowy or rainy weather so you should wait for the right time. This weekend was not rainy at all so I put on my recently purchased grey skirt and took some pictures for you.

For a change I took the pictures at METU where I spent wonderful years studying. Every spot has a memory for me so I love spending time there.

Uzun etekleri hep çok sevmişimdir. Özellikle yaz aylarının vazgeçilmezleridir. Bu sezon bir çok markada farklı uzun etek seçenekler mevcuttu. Ankara'nın karlı, yağmurlu soğuk havasına çok uygun olduğunu düşünmediğimden kısa zaman öncesine kadar direnmiştim yaza kadar beklemeye. Ta ki geçen hafta Ipekyol indiriminde bu eteği bulana kadar. İndirimde olmasının yanında bahar aylarında da giymeye uygun olduğu için hemen aldım.

Bu hafta bir değişiklik yaptık ve fotoğrafları ODTU'de çektik. ODTÜ, okuduğum okul olmasının yanında çok güzel anılarımın olduğu özel bir yerdir.

This season we happily welcome Jane Birkin, Jerry Hall and other fashion icons of 70's..
Maxi skirts, mini shorts, statement accessories,  floral print, single shouldered tops, jumpsuits, romantic lace, studio 54 glamour, Audrey Hepburn style midi dresses, ruffled and layered dresses, cut out, coral, white blazer, pleated chiffon are the top trends.
You can also combine these, with timeless summer trends like street style, acidic colors, country girl, bleached jeans, indigo, leggings and denim shorts would be the best options to go with..

Erdem rocks!

London fashion week is one of the most important fashion events of the year and this year Turkish designers Huseyin Çağlayan, Erdem Moralıoğlu,  Bora Aksu and Hakan Yıldırım rocked the event.
Erdem is one of my favorite designers. He is also named as the king of florals. Last season many celebrities like Michelle Obama ,Samantha Cameron , Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, and Sarah Jessica Parker picked her colored beautiful dresses.
This season, there are no flowers at all. He named his collection as  'bit of a naughty secret' and he added "Last season, it was all about the girl, this season it's all about the women,"


Londra Moda haftası tüm dünyada düzenlenen moda etkinliklerin başında yer alır. Bu sene de 4 Türk tasarımcı bu etkinliğe birbirinden özel defilelerle çarpıcı bir hava kattı.
Geçtiğimiz sezon çiçek desenli elbiseleriyle bir çok ünlünün tercih ettiği tasarımcı Erdem 2011 sonbahar kış sezonunda farklı bir koleksiyonla karşımıza çıkıyor. Erdem " renk , iyimserlik ve gariplikler" temalı  bu koleksiyonla daha kadınsı ve güçlü bir etki yaratıyor.

lace is back

Good news!!The extension of autumn-winter high trend, lace is getting even bigger this season. It's not girly nor tacky but the real reflection of the romantic spring. You will see lace on dresses, jackets, shorts, skirts and of course accessories..
If you are not that romantic, try to get some pieces of lace in different colors. You can either choose the gothic black or go for the acidic colors.
This summer, bridal gowns are also under the effect of pure lace..
The latest trend in Europe is wearing lace shorts over leggings..

Hello again,

After spending the weekend with Ates, I'm ready to make a fresh start for the week. Sunday was rainy and cloudy so I choiced a vintage look. Last season in Massimo Dutti I saw a very similar version of this shirt however there were only two color options so I decided to have a new one tailored. My mum picked the fabric and in the end I have my beautiful flower patterned vintage looking shirt.

Herkese merhaba,

Haftasonunu (çalışmadığım zamanlarda) Ateş'le geçirdikten sonra yeniden yoğun bir haftaya başlıyorum. Geçen haftanın aksine pazar günü hava kapalı ve genelde yağışlıydı. Ben de bugüne uygun vintage bir kombinasyon tercih ettim. Geçen sezon Massimo Dutti'de gördüğüm çiçekli gömleklere bayılmıştım. Ancak renk alternatifleri olmadığından aynı modeli diktirmeye karar vermiştim. Anneciğim de kumaş konusunda süper bir seçim yaptı ve sonunda bu harika gömleğe sahip oldum.

Let me introduce you with Atom. Isn't she adorable? This little Yorkshire terrier is extremely intellegent, loving and  definitely a part of the family. 

Sunday afternoon was mainly about movies and pizza. For the evening my lovely friend Tuna invited me for dinner. It was so much fun to enjoy delicious food and play cards together.

After a tough week( spending 2 days in Istanbul, being extremely ill and working hard during the weekend), I thought that the best way to make a new start for the week is to share these shiny and fun pictures with you..

I'm longing for the weekend, to have some rest and spend the whole time with my wonderful boyfriend.

My dearest photographer (zeynep) will be in Istanbul during the weekend so it's time for Ates to give a try and take some pictures..I will do my best to upload new posts!!

Zor bir haftayı nihayet geride bıraktım. İstanbul'da geçen 2 yoğun günün ardından Ankara'ya döndüğümde çok hastalandım. Haftasonunu da çalışarak geçirdikten sonra yeni ve sakin bir haftaya başlamanın en iyi yolu bu bol güneşli ve eğlenceli resimleri sizlere paylaşmak olur diye düşündüm 

Şimdiden haftasonunu sabırsızlıkla beklemeye başladım. Zeynep (sevgili fotografcım) haftasonunu İstanbul'da geçireceğinden fotoğraf çekme işini Ateş üstlenecek. Umarım başarılı oluruz:)

Black Swan

I've been looking forward to seeing black swan on the screen for a long time. It is not suprising that the movie is one of the top contenders of the 2011 academy awards. Alongside such stars as Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel and Winona Ryder, Swarovski also plays an important role in the movie of the year.

More than 250,000 Swarovski crystals artfully incorporated into the graceful ballet costumes and the imposing chandeliers

In the dramatic final scene of the movie, sparkling Swarovski chandeliers are presented perfectly.

The Swarovski Event

On wednesday I attended an amazing Swarovski event. The new Spring/Summer collection was launched in Pera Palace. Betul Mardin's team organised the event. It started with Aslı Tezcan's (Swarovski Turkey Country manager) welcome speech. After that, the beautiful models presented the new colllection, in the end, the Daniel Swarovski haute couture show also took place in Turkey for the first time. Celebrities did not miss the show etiher. Ivana Sert, Ahu Yağtu, Dolunay Soysert, Özben Önal, Beliz Köprülü were some of them..After the event the guests enjoyed the historical atmosphere of Pera Palace with delicious food and drinks..



                         The guests were so lucky to have been given amazing gifts from the new collection.

Although I was a little bit ill, tired and sleepy, I could not miss to meet my dearest friend Ziya . After having a wonderful dinner at Mori, we enjoyed the delicious Laduree cookies with tea..      

           The chocolate and caramel are my favorites, you should definitely try them.

Istanbul cathced my heart again..
